Angus-Young Brand Identity, Website & More
The Brief: Evolve the look and feel of Angus-Young—a 66-year-old architecture and engineering firm—in order to compete with more modern firms. To do so, the firm’s leadership team ordered a comprehensive re-brand, a newly designed website, a side of brand collateral, and a rollout plan to finish it all off. Coming right up.
The Work: Started with me, a Jr. Copywriter at the time, interviewing the heads of each department in order to gain an in-depth understanding of the firm’s values, culture, process, and service offerings. Talk about trial by fire. Anyway, after becoming fluent in architectural and engineering jargon, I began to craft the brand slogan and the foundational messaging, making sure to keep it grounded in their core principle of “Excellence.” Once those elements were established and approved, I moved into writing a general brand booklet, industry-specific booklets, and all of website wireframes and copy.
The Result: A forward-thinking (and award-winning) architecture and engineering firm that’s destined for excellence.
